Do Not Feed your Pets: Hartz Chicken Chews and Hartz Oinkies Pig Skin Twists
Another dog treat manufacturer is recalling their products across the U.S. this week after more than 500 pet deaths and thousands of illnesses were linked to similar treats that were all Made in China.
Hartz Mountain Corporation is now voluntarily recalling their Hartz Chicken Chews and Hartz Oinkies Pig Skin Twists after the products were found containing 'trace amounts' of an unapproved antibiotic residue, the company reports.
"Even though two-thirds of the products we tested did not contain antibiotic residues, we would rather be overly cautious by voluntarily withdrawing these products from the market," they said in a release on Friday.
